The Story Behind Hineni
Hineni (pronounced hin-NEH-nee) is Hebrew for “Here I am.”
In Isaiah 58:9, God makes a promise: “Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’” That promise is the heart of Hineni. It is not about being sent out — it is about being present, and being met.

A story you walk through
Hineni is an interactive Bible story experience. You step into the world of Scripture, walk it’s streets, meet the people who lived it, and make choices as the story unfolds around you, one book at a time.
Most Bible stories are told the same way to everyone. In Hineni, you take part, and the story you walk through becomes your own. And through it all, Scripture stays exactly as it is, never rewritten, never altered.

Why Hineni Exists
Hineni started as something personal. I’d been getting so pulled into reading and online role-play. Not just the immersion, the sense that the story was happening to me, but the way modern writing engaged a different part of my brain than scripture usually does. And it was quietly taking time away from being in the Word. One day it clicked: what if I took the parts of that experience that genuinely draw me in and built them around scripture instead?
But it grew into something bigger than reliving the stories. I wanted a place where you don’t just read the Bible, you step into it. Where you can sit with God through grief or a hard decision, pause to pray, journal what’s stirring in you, understand the world behind the text, and explore freely. All with scripture kept exactly as it is, never rewritten or altered.
The first person I built this for was me, something I’d actually choose on an ordinary evening. The hope beyond that is to help others meet God in His Word, and feel why these moments mattered so much.
